How to install Windows 7 in five easy steps

Installing Windows 7 can be tricky if you don’t have the right tools, but it can be done easily with the right steps. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how to install Windows 7 in five easy steps.

Step 1: Preparation

Before you can install Windows 7, you need to prepare your computer. This includes making sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements, backing up your data, and more. Follow these steps to get started.

Step 2: Insert the CD

Before you can install Windows 7, you'll need to insert the installation CD into your computer. If you don't have a CD, you can usually download an ISO file online. Once the CD is inserted, the installer should start automatically. If it doesn't, open My Computer and double-click on the CD drive.

Step 3: Hit Install Now

Now that you've found the right edition of Windows 7 for your needs, it's time to get started with the installation. To do so, locate the Install Now button in the middle of the screen and click it.

You'll be prompted to enter your product key, which is the 25-digit code you received when you purchased Windows 7. If you don't have this code, you can't continue with the installation.

Once you've entered your product key and hit Next, you'll see a screen asking you to choose whether you want a Custom installation or an Upgrade. Choose Custom since this is a clean install we're doing.

Step 4: Choose your settings

The next screen will ask you how you want to install Windows. The options are Upgrade, Custom, and Express Settings. Choose Custom. This will allow you to choose what type of installation you want and where you want to install Windows.

Step 5: Restart your computer

1. Restart your computer and press F8 while it's booting up. 2. On the Advanced Boot Options menu that appears, select Repair Your Computer. 3. On the System Recovery Options menu, select Startup Repair. 4. Once Startup Repair has finished scanning your computer for problems, click Finish. 5. Restart your computer again and you should be good to go!
